Most of us tend to move faster than our brains and bodies can keep up. If you're anything like me, your smartphone is constantly buzzing for attention between task reminders, unanswered emails and appointments. Often we squeeze in our personal agenda in the small gaps leftover. If this sounds familiar, honestly is your well-being a top priority?
If you find your "you time" falling to the bottom of the list, try this exercise. This week take an honest assessment of your schedule, including your personal needs. Treat you personal activities as appointments with the same weight as your professional meetings. Pencil them in (literally or digitally) first. Be honest about the amount of time you need to exercise, plan healthy meals and recharge your batteries. Then plan everything else around YOU.
If you find your schedule too full, be honest and reorganize your plans in a way that puts you first. When you're happy and healthy the rest will be infinitely more manageable.
