There's a lot of talk about the sedentary lifestyle. Desks are killing us. And, the talk is right, if you're not living, you're dying. I don't know too many people who feel like they're living at the desk. So, true to human nature, we treated the symptom not the problem and created active work stations. How novel! Walk on a tredmill while you're doing you're work. Create office spaces that are beautiful traps to keep you in. Play ping-pong at work. That's all lovely, fun and definitely has merit - especially when looking at employee happiness and team morale. But, is that really fixing the problem for the individual? I think not. The issue is not just that your body fails behind a desk - so does your mind.
